7PM: Soil Sampling and Exposure Prevention in Urban Agriculture

This workshop—a follow up to “Understanding Soils for Urban Farming”—will provide processes to assess urban soils and manage risk. Participants increase understanding of how to sample soils, map those sample spots and their sample results in order to prevent chemical exposure and manage risk. The workshop concludes on urban soil safety in production, backyard, community and school farms and gardens, with continued emphasis on best practices.
