New cultivars for California's diverse growing regions - An update on the results of Multi-location Lemon scion and rootstock trials (60 minutes)
Description: Results of rootstock trials for Limoneira 8A Lisbon lemon planted near Santa Paula, Lindcove and Thermal in 2016 will be summarized including tree health, tree size, yield per tree, and packline data on fruit characteristics. Results will be compared with those observed in earlier lemon rootstock trials and in trials with other scions. (presented by: Mike Roose, Ph.D.)
Results of tree health, yield and packingline data for the multi-location lemon scion trials on three rootstocks specific to each of the four sites will be compared. In addition, background and results will be presented on several new recently released cultivars from the CCPP as part of their Early Release Budwood program. (presented by: Tracy Kahn, Ph.D.)
