Thanks Vernon! At the Golden Gate National Park Nurseries, we have been experimenting with a steam manifold set inside a trailer to steam potting soil so that it is mobile. This is a bottom up manifold that is still in development to get the steaming time down, but we're on the right track. My team and I can share info with those who might be interested.

We recently obtained 4 gal of ethanol 92%/isopropanol 8% blend from this site: https://e-nrg.com/us/en/bioethanol/ . They also sell in larger bulk sizes. It's pricier than isopropanol at the old standard rate, but is a viable alternative in the short term until the supply comes back to normal. Since this is a 100% alcohol product, we dilute it to 70% by adding distilled water, so 4 gal will yield 5.7 gal of 70% alcohol. When diluted, it priced out to about $17.50/gal + tax.
